FAQ

DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE OR BE PRESENT DURING THE LIVE SESSIONS?

We recommend that you are either in the room (working on something else) or in a neighboring room where you can hear what's going on. We can't manage behavior or safety during live sessions and ask for your support in these areas. Most of the time, kids are fully engaged during the live sessions but there are times when it can be helpful to have an adult supporting.

DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE AUDIO LESSONS?

We recommend joining the child and helping them with the audio lessons to help them get started. Over time, they will get used to the routine and be able to do it on their own.

CAN MY YOUNGER CHILD JOIN THEIR SIBLING'S SESSIONS?

For some families, this works really well. While the younger child may not get as much out of the session, they enjoy being involved and pick up on a few things. For other families, it's nice for the older sibling to have something special just for themselves. We leave it up to the family to determine what works best. If the kids wind up fighting a lot during the live sessions we may ask for only the older child to participate in those or for an adult to join to help manage behavior.

HOW DOES THE SCHEDULING WORK WITH FOR THE LIVE SESSIONS?

Once we get a general sense of your needs we will pair you with a teacher. You will work with the teacher to set up a time schedule that works. Often, teachers can be flexible with changes week-to-week though it's best to book a time slot that you know will work for you.

HOW MANY KIDS ARE TYPICALLY ON A LIVE SESSIONS?

Typically there are only 1-2 kids per session. This is generally a child and their sibling. At times, we have found that groups up to 4 can also work, if the kids already know each other.

WHAT IF I NEED MORE TIME OR A DIFFERENT OPTION THAN THE PROGRAMS YOU OFFER?

We'd be happy to work with you to see if we can meet your needs. Reach out to us and we're happy to talk more!

HOW DO I GIVE FEEDBACK ABOUT THE PROGRAM?

We consider parents an essential support to children and as co-builders of this program with us. We rely heavily on support from parents to help us make this solution work. Feel free to reach out to your child's teacher or directly to the founders to give feedback. We love hearing from you.

DOES THIS WORK WITH ALL CHILDREN?

The short answer is no. We find that most children really enjoy this learning format but there are some kids that do not. We use a 2-week transition plan to get your child used to this learning format. If you're child isn't enjoying the sessions after that, we recommend not continuing.
